The Washington State Department of Health has taken disciplinary actions or withdrawn charges against health care providers in our state.

The department's Health Systems Quality Assurance Office works with boards, commissions, and advisory committees to set licensing standards for more than 70 health care professions (e.g., medical doctors, nurses, counselors).

Bellefonte Borough Council members passed an ordinance Monday night that prevents panhandlers from asking for money in the borough's downtown and waterfront areas.

Man convicted again for 1999 double-homicide...

Tulsa County jurors convicted Victor Cornell Miller of two counts of first-degree murder Friday night in the retrial of a 1999 double homicide case.

The trial resumes Monday with the sentencing stage in Associate District Judge Dana Kuehn’s court. Prosecutors are again seeking the death penalty for Miller, 45.
