Uda Mall property management's assistant manager Mohd Zamri Mapol said Uda Mall together with the Commercial Vehicles Licensing Board and the Kuala Lumpur City Hall had conducted a raid to nab the touts and illegal operators a month ago.
“The raid was conducted in the morning and a few hours later, they were operating again as if nothing had happened. It is dangerous to travel on buses operated by illegal operators as passengers are not insured.
“The buses may not even be available on the day of travel and the public will not be able to get a refund for fake tickets,” he added.
He said it was unfair towards legal bus operators in Puduraya as they paid RM20 each time they entered the bus platform while illegal operators, who operated just outside the terminal, paid nothing.
“We have heeded the authorities' directive by moving our operations to Jalan Duta, so they should support us too,” Mohd Zamri said.
From Oct 28 to Nov 6, northbound buses will operate from the Jalan Duta terminal and southbound buses will operate from Puduraya while eastbound buses will operate from Hentian Putra.
Mohd Zamri said passengers who had to board their buses at Jalan Duta and Hentian Putra could make use of the feeder bus service at Puduraya.
“All they have to do is pay RM1 and catch the 24-hour feeder bus service by Rapid KL.
